Writing workshops for Business School Justin Urquhart-Stewart Prize

Want help with your Urquhart-Stewart Prize brief? Come to a special writing workshop!

In support of the Justin Urquhart-Stewart Prize, the Business School have arranged for Writing Fellow Joseph Franklin to offer their two-part writing workshops for students. If you wish to attend, you must sign up for a first session (on Feb 3 or 5), and a second session (on Feb. 10 or 12). These workshops are designed to kickstart the writing process and really sharpen the language through guided support.

Writing for business, especially a brief, does require a certain style that takes work to acquire. The support sessions from the Writing Centre are specifically designed to cultivate an awareness of business writing conventions that will pay off well beyond the Urquhart-Stewart Prize.

The first session will cover brainstorming and planning the draft.

The second session will help with revising and editing. You must arrive at the second session with a short draft of the assignment to workshop.

Be sure to sign up for both sessions. Space is limited.
